Thigh Lift in Washington D.C.
The skin on your thighs and buttocks is particularly prone to stretching and loss of tone. Unlike the abdomen, however, these areas have no underlying hernias or structural weaknesses, and the problem is strictly one of excess skin and residual excess fat. This is especially true after significant weight loss from dieting or weight loss surgery. Surgically removing this skin and tightening the remaining skin, called a thigh lift, can give patients from Washington, DC; Chevy Chase and Bethesda, MD; and Arlington and Fairfax, VA, a more youthful appearance.
Body contours can be improved by surgically removing your excess skin and fat. This may require an abdominoplasty or a lateral thigh lift. When these two elements are combined, the surgery is referred to as a “body lift.”
Before & After Photos
What to Expect from Thigh Lift Surgery
Surgical incisions and resulting scars vary from area to area, but we make every effort to place them in locations where they are concealed below clothes or bathing suits. This is easier on your buttocks than on your legs, where they may be more noticeable. Your recovery is similar to that of abdominoplasty.
After the surgery, you will wear a specifically designed supportive garment for a length of time that will depend on the procedure done. Complications are rare with these procedures. Occasionally, you may have more noticeable scars than ideally preferred. In rare cases, your skin may stretch causing some recurrence of the problem.
