Dr. Arjun P. Kanuri combines elite cosmetic plastic surgery training with a commitment to providing safe, high-quality, and compassionate patient care. Dr. Kanuri is one of the few plastic surgeons to pursue additional fellowship training in cosmetic surgery. Dr. Kanuri completed this additional training at the Manhattan, Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital (MEETH), the oldest and most prestigious aesthetic surgery fellowship in the country. His fellowship included advanced training in deep plane facelift techniques, which informs his focused approach to facial rejuvenation surgery.
Dr. Kanuri joined the Center for Plastic Surgery in 2021 and works with patients from Washington, DC; Bethesda and Chevy Chase, MD; Arlington and Fairfax, VA; and surrounding areas. Dr. Kanuri is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS).

Dr. Kanuri is pleasant to talk to, he is professional, and he notices all the previous procedures on the face without any prompting from the patient. He is frank and clearly explains what else can be done to make the face look better. He doesn't insist, but simply politely offers advice with explanations. I completely trust this doctor.

Education & Training
Dr. Kanuri earned his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. While in medical school, he also earned a Master of Business Administration degree in health policy from the Brandeis Heller School for Social Policy and Management. Among Dr. Kanuri’s accomplishments is being inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, the nation’s preeminent medical honor society limited to the top 15% of medical school graduates in the U.S.
After getting his medical degree, Dr. Kanuri began the integrated plastic surgery residency program at Georgetown University Hospital. This highly competitive 6-year program includes training in all aspects of plastic surgery. He earned a number of teaching awards during his residency and served as the administrative chief resident in addition to conducting research and presenting it at national and international professional society meetings.
Dr. Kanuri completed an additional year of specialized training following his residency, making him one of the few plastic surgeons to complete post-residency training in aesthetic plastic surgery. This training was done at the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital (MEETH), the country’s oldest and most prestigious aesthetic surgery fellowship. MEETH fellows are selected from prominent institutions around the world for further training under some of the field’s most esteemed plastic surgeons.
