When I first began my search for a plastic surgeon, I realized that there are a lot of plastic surgeons available in this area but only a small few seem to really enjoy, talk about or specialize in facelifts. When I met Dr Kanuri for my initial consultation, I immediately connected with him, not to mention his wonderful staff, Sherry and Angel, and knew I trusted his insight and skills to do my surgery. He was very honest in telling me what he could not achieve and gave me his recommendations on how to get the best results for me. I’m 3 months post facelift and only wish I had done this sooner. I thought I had to have it removed. However m, when I met with Dr.Kanuri, he shared with me that unless I was uncomfortable with the beauty mark or there was a health issue with it, he did not recommend removing it. It was refreshing to have a doctor Jumping to make money off procedures or upsell. I also felt comfortable, knowing that I have our plastic surgeon in case I do have to have it removed in the future or anything else completed.

Dr. Kanuri was great. He was able to fit me in on short notice, kindly addressed all of my concerns, and offered solutions.

I had a bad fall while hiking rough terrain. Face plant. Big gashes in my forehead and into my scalp. Went to the Fairfax Inova ER and got stitched up. The on-call plastic surgeon was consulted. He was from the same practice as Dr. Kanuri who I saw two days after discharge from the ER. You want surgeons who exercise good judgement, and sometimes that means backing off in a conservative, good judgement sense. Cowboy surgeons exist, and the result can be disaster. Based on counsel from the ER surgeon who stitched me up (extensively; many manual stitches as well as staples), I fully expected that when I saw a plastic surgeon following my discharge from the ER, my ER stitchery would be taken out and re-done. Nope. Didn't happen. Dr. Kanuri examined my ER-stitched up wounds and deemed them to be high-quality work. Nothing to do but let my wounds heal. I was grateful. No one wants to be stitched up twice with added injury to tissue and frankly, more pain. (The stitching and stapling "smarts," to put it mildly.) More importantly, opening up my wound would have increased the chance of infection. So, I had a very good experience with Dr. Kanuri. Seems to be very competent. Good people skills. Good support staff. I lucked out in getting an appointment with him.

Dr. Kanuri repaired my lip after a dog bite. I was anxious about recovery and what I would like once I finished healing. I’m happy with the results. Besides a small scar, you can barely tell anything ever happened. He kept a level head and had me in and out of the operating room on the same day. I had my Breast Reduction surgery with Dr. Kanuri and I am posting this review one month post op. I will update it in future with new improvements. Everyone from office staff to hospital staff were nice, professional and accommodating. My questions were all answered. Dr. Kanuri did a fantastic job reconstructing my breast size from DD(DDD) to a C+. To my surprise it didn’t hurt and I didn’t need to use supplementary pain killers at all. Incisions are clear and are healing. My breasts are now what I always liked them to be and the pressure on my back and neck has been reduced a lot. I also, liked the printed notes they gave my pre-op that had everything and Angel kindly walked me through every detail. I think I found what I was seeking for in a surgeon and that was commitment.

Learn from my mistakes and do NOT go anywhere else! Dr. Kanuri rescued me from a bad tummy tuck, done 15 mos earlier by a well known northern Va surgeon. The surgeon said he'd "fix" it, but both his opinion and a 2nd one came with dire warnings about my belly button dying in a 2nd procedure and an overall disappointing outlook. I am so happy that I chose Dr. Kanuri at CPS for my rhinoplasty/septoplasty. I had a deviated septum that had been bothering me for many years. At my consultation with Dr. Kanuri, he quickly knew exactly what needed to be done to fix my problem. I showed him several inspiration photos and he was able to achieve exactly what I had imagined. He was very honest and thorough with letting me know what to expect. I am one month post op and the recovery process was great! Minimal pain at the beginning and with my corrected deviated septum I can finally breathe properly. Dr. Kanuri was very accessible after my surgery. He checked in that night and continued to check in over the next few days. Even one month after surgery I am still able to reach out with questions or concerns and he gets back to me right away. I originally went to Dr. Kanuri to fix the uneven work of a previous injector and have returned to him for dermal fillers ever since, 3+ years now. I get my entire face enhanced: softened forehead and undereye lines, sculpted cheekbones (my absolute favorite), and the biggest lips possible for my face. I swear his work is an "instagram vs. reality" dream! Dr. Kanuri is so discerning when it comes to symmetry and what looks natural, and extremely sensitive to his patient’s wishes, whether you'd prefer to go big (like me) or super subtle (like my friends to whom I have referred him). I decided to take the plunge and start wrinkle reducers at 31 for preventative reasons. He answered all my questions, concerns and fears honestly but most importantly did amazing job with lipo. He checked in daily to see if all was well during the first two weeks and has been in touch (text, calls and email) regularly.
