This woman in her 50’s underwent a breast reconstruction. Prosthetic breast reconstruction is typically done in two stages. During the first stage, the time of mastectomy, the plastic surgeon will place a temporary implant called a tissue expander. The tissue expander will slowly fill up over time and be replaced with a permanent implant during the secondary surgery.

This patient had a left nipple-sparing mastectomy and reconstruction of her left breast with a tissue expander followed by a silicone implant and a right breast augmentation for symmetry.

This 60-year-old patient underwent abdominoplasty combined with liposuction to the flanks to address excess abdominal skin, weakened abdominal contour, and localized fat deposits.
