Description:

Following a diagnosis requiring bilateral nipple-sparing mastectomies, this patient underwent staged implant-based breast reconstruction beginning with placement of tissue expanders at the time of mastectomy. The expanders were gradually filled to preserve the breast skin envelope and create the desired breast shape before a second-stage procedure was performed to exchange the expanders for silicone gel implants.

Now 15 years after reconstruction, the patient continues to demonstrate a durable, natural-appearing result with excellent implant position, balanced breast symmetry, and preservation of the nipple-areola complex. Her long-term outcome highlights the ability of nipple-sparing mastectomy with implant reconstruction to restore breast contour while maintaining a soft, feminine appearance over time.
